Over halfway there!
Construction for the Alberta Alive Condominiums is moving fast, and Building B is really starting to take shape!
What's New
Building B just passed its city inspections for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems - a huge step that means the "guts" of the home (pipes, wiring, HVAC) are in and approved. The front doors are installed, and insulation and drywall are going in now, which means walls are about to close up and rooms will start looking like, well, rooms!
Building A isn't far behind. It just passed a round of structural inspections and plumbing checks, so it's right on track to follow Building B's lead.
Outside, crews have started prepping the patios on the north side, so the outdoor living spaces are already taking shape too.
In short, this week the construction team:
✅ Passed city inspections on Building B's plumbing, electrical & mechanical systems
✅ Installed the front doors on Building B
✅ Started insulation and drywall in Building B
✅ Passed structural and plumbing inspections on Building A
✅ Broke ground on the north patio areas
What's Coming Next
Next week, Building A catches up with its own electrical and mechanical inspections, and both buildings will start getting their exterior weatherproofing and siding - the finishing touch that gives these homes their look. Crews will also begin prepping more of the outdoor spaces, including patios and porches.
Why This Matters for You
Every inspection passed and every wall closed up brings these homes one step closer to move-in ready. With Building B's systems approved and insulation going in, and Building A right on its heels, the Alberta Alive Condominiums are well on their way to becoming a finished community.
Stay tuned — more updates (and more photos!) coming soon.
Thank you to our General Contractor, Owen Gabbert LLC, and all subcontractors for their hard work!
